  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended for maximum flavor.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated cheese enhances the flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
For assembly
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns Toasted buns recommended.
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese Can be substituted with other types of cheese.
  • to taste lettuce leaves Use your favorite type of lettuce.
  • to taste tomato slices
  • to taste mayonnaise
  • to taste ketchup

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until combined but don’t overdo it; you want those burgers tender.
  2. Divide the mixture into four portions and form into patties. Don’t forget to make a slight indentation in the center for even cooking.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for perfect medium doneness.
  3. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid or foil to melt the cheese.
Assembly
  1. If desired, toast the hamburger buns.
  2. On the bottom half, layer with lettuce leaves and tomato slices.
  3. Place the cooked patty on top, then spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the inside of the top bun before placing it over the patty.
Serving
  1. Enjoy immediately with your favorite sides, like fries, onion rings, or a bright salad.

Notes

Wrap leftovers tightly and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Uncooked patties can be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat on a skillet until warmed through.
