Method

Preparation
  1. Combine all spices in a bowl to make the burger seasoning. Set aside.
  2. Divide ground chuck into 6 equal portions and gently form into ½ inch thick patties. Ensure they are wider than the buns to account for shrinkage.
  3. Press a gentle indentation in the center of each patty using your thumb to ensure even cooking and prevent puffing.
Cooking
  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Sprinkle the burger seasoning over the patties and place them on the grill, indent-side up. Close the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes until seared.
  3. Flip the patties and cook an additional 3-4 minutes, or until beef reaches 160°F.
  4. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty.
  5. Remove patties from the grill and allow to rest before serving on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For the best flavor, season the meat right before grilling. Consider Worcestershire sauce for added flavor. Experiment with different cheeses. For lower fat options, use ground turkey or chicken, adjusting seasoning as necessary. Don't forget to toast the buns for a delicious crunch.
